  • Step 5: Apply the perm solution to the lashes.

    • Apply the perm solution to the base (near the lash line) to the middle of the lashes (DO NOT APPLY TO THE LASH TIPS)

    • Set timer for 10-15 minutes. 10 minutes for weaker lashes and 15 minutes for strong lashes.

      • This time may be adjusted for specific products...consult the product manufacturer.

    • Clean solution off lashes with a dry Q-tip and then a damp Q-tip but don’t unstick the lashes.

      • Always clean off the first eye you started on first so the lift is even on both eyes.

  • Step 6: Apply the setting solution to the lashes.

    • Apply the setting solution to the base to middle of the lashes (DO NOT APPLY TO THE TIPS)

    • Set timer for 10 minutes

      • This time may be adjusted for specific products...consult the product manufacturer.

    • Clean solution off with a dry Q-tip and then a wet Q-tip

  • Step 7: Remove the rods and eye pads.

    • Once all the solution is removed, rub the lashes off the rod with the wet Q-tip.

    • Unstick the rod from the eyelid with wet Q-tip.

    • Clean off the entire eye area with a cotton round and water until all glue is off the eyelid and lashes.

    • Remove the eye pad or tape one at a time

      • IMPORTANT SAFETY STEP: Before they open, ask the client to turn their head to one side, hold a tissue at their temple, and rinse the eye with saline solution. Repeat on the other side.

    • Ask the client to open their eyes and ask if anything is burning. If so, have them close their eyes and flush with saline solution or cold water per emergency instructions.

Tip.png

Touch your client's temples with the side of your hand before you touch the client's eye area so they have a heads-up and aren't startled when you touch them. Remember, their eyes are closed and if you are coming towards their face without a "warning touch", you may startle them, and they may experience the feeling of anxiety.
